ACTIVITIES
Plenty of entertainment in Cozumel from water sports to zip lining, you will never be bored.  Please view the list of Cozumel excursions at Shore TripsFeel free to look at the activities, be sure to contact Cindy to book any activities. Your activities are not limited to this site; you can find many fun things to do on our own.  Such as…

  • A day at Chankanaab National Marine Park.

  • Exploring San Migel.

  • Spend some time at San Gervaiso Mayan Site or Faro Celarain Eco Park.

  • Take a drive to Alberto’s Beach Bar & Restaurant - you can snorkel then have a fabulous meal!  We personally enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner last year at sunset, it's a great place to check out.

  • Don’t forget to stop at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaretville, Carlos-N-Charlie’s or Sr. Frogs!

  • If you are interested in horseback riding, try Rancho Buenavista.

  • Also if you love to dive, this is the place.  It is also a great location to try some fishing.

Chankanaab National Marine Park

If you have any questions about tours please contact me, I will advise you to book some before your vacation begins so you are not disappointed.  One to book in advance is the Dolphin Swim; please contact me for booking information as several excursions are offered.

AIRPORT INFORMATION
Your special vacation begins with your flight directly into Cozumel; they have a wonderful airport that is easy to access.  Your vacation package will include transfers, so Cindy will advise you to which company will be handling your transportation.  You may have heard about the time-share people, you may politely say “no” and they will not bother you!  Please remember you must schedule your return transfer at the hotel, I encourage you to do it the first or second day so you do not forget (it happens).  Your airline may have a baggage charge!

CURRENCY
Please do not feel you need to exchange money, most places will accept the U.S. dollar, but be advised you may be offered Mexican money for your change so be clear that you would like U.S. dollars for change.  Be sure to contact your credit card company in advance that you will be using your card in Cozumel.

PASSPORTS
Double check before departing for the airport that you have them and the passport is valid!  If you keep them in your safety deposit box at the bank please pick them up a few days prior to your departure date.  No travel insurance will cover denied boarding due to failure to present your passport!  And keep them in your hotel safe along with any other valuables in Cozumel.

PHONE USE
Many cell phones will operate in Cozumel, but to sure you will not be overcharged, be sure to contact your provider before leaving!

TIPPING
When you are visiting an all-inclusive resort for the first time, the tipping can be confusing.  My recommendation is to bring plenty of one dollar bills and a few fives for this purpose.  It is not mandatory but the staff work very hard and depend upon your tips for good service!  Plan to tip your room maid, meal servers and of course for those yummy drinks!  Please feel free to ask me for more details.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING

  • Bug Spray, some people complain about the bugs.

  • Biodegradable sun lotion, many tours will only allow this, so be prepared.

  • Snorkeling gear, this is a great destination to take this along because you never know when you will see a great place to snorkel.

  • An alarm clock.  Yes, you many need this for an early morning departure back home.

  • One thing that is very important, please take meds with you to cover any stomach issues.
